Freedom Day Team
Ryan began his investment career at Smith Barney in 1996. He earned the role of Senior Portfolio Manager where he worked until it became Citigroup, the largest bank/brokerage firm in the world. He lovingly and gratefully owes his start and only role in ten years, to an amazing firm at the time.

But he escaped Wall Street in 2006, for one simple reason. He kept a sacred oath to anybody who trusted him to always serve their families exactly as he did his own. To communicate and invest without barriers or conflicts of interest, he and his partner launched an independent money management firm where those families are still served today.

After starting her career as a licensed analyst at AIM Investments (Invesco) in 1997, Shelley has over 25 years of investment industry experience including 15 years specializing in insurance.

Prior to joining Freedom Day Solutions, she owned and operated her own Allstate agency for six and a half years, making her a tremendous resource for our partners.

Mike grew up on Wall Street and began his investment career at Shearson Lehman in 1986. He has experienced almost every facet of the industry from operations, banking, brokerage and advisory. His big firms’ career culminating with a role in senior management at Citigroup, where he met Ryan after moving to Houston. They worked together for six years before escaping to open a small firm.

After serving in the Marine Corps, Shanna started her career at Edward Jones in 2005. Her 20 years of investment industry experience, allows her to serve as a trusted voice for our partners and makes her a reliable resource for the team.

After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, Kyi Kyi began her career at American Express Financial Advisors in 1999, as a licensed assistant for one of the top advisors in the country. While working full time and gaining invaluable experience in the investment industry, she obtained her MBA from the University of Houston in 2004 and decided to pursue a career with an independent firm.

She’s spent the last two decades, including almost ten years with Ryan and Mike, serving both advisors and clients while managing teams that include operations, client service and compliance.
